A leading aerospace company wanted to eliminate the use of IBCs at it’s water softening plant for safety reasons. They asked us to design and install custom semi bulk storage tanks for hydrochloric acid and caustic soda, plus a once through fume scrubber for the acid. To complicate things, they had to go into an existing building, through an existing roller door. Space was very tight indeed. After much deliberation, we arrived at a solution that fitted (just) and provided the customer with 1500 litres of usable capacity for each chemical.
