We were asked by a customer to design and build a relatively inexpensive vacuum test chamber for their lab. They suggested using a domestic vacuum cleaner motor to generate the suction. Requirements included a latching door, castors for mobility and a series of holes for inlet feed pipes. We fabricated the unit in PVC and then sealed on clear acrylic panels as shown. Considering that this was our first attempt at a vacuum chamber in plastic, the unit outperformed all expectations!
